Dina Gregory writes stories that are made for the ear first, and she has become one of the quiet stars of the audio-original world. Raised in the South West of England, where the moors were visible from her bedroom window, she credits that half-wild landscape with shaping her taste for the enchanted and the everyday sitting side by side.
She has written more than twenty stories for Audible, most of them for children and families, alongside bolder projects such as a reimagined The Wind in the Willows with an all-female cast led by Cush Jumbo, and a modern retelling of The Little Mermaid. Her fairy tales tend to be playful rather than precious, happily mashing familiar ingredients into something new.
For young listeners, and for the grown-ups pressing play beside them, Gregory offers short, sparkling doses of wonder with a mischievous modern streak.
