Who is Frankie Boyle?

Frankie Boyle, born Francis Martin Patrick Boyle in 1972, is a Scottish comedian and writer with one of the most recognisable comic voices in Britain. He broke through as a regular panellist on Mock the Week between 2005 and 2009, where his brutal one-liners became the show’s most dangerous weapon.

He went on to create and star in the Channel 4 sketch show Frankie Boyle’s Tramadol Nights, then fronted the BBC Two chat show Frankie Boyle’s New World Order from 2017 to 2022 and presented Frankie Boyle’s Tour of Scotland in 2020. Alongside the television work he has toured extensively and released several stand-up specials. His humour has landed him in public controversy more than once – a fact that will surprise nobody who has watched him work.
