Who is Karin Slaughter?

Georgia is not a backdrop in Karin Slaughter‘s fiction so much as a character with a temper. Born there in 1971, she has set most of her more than twenty-five novels in the American South, and she writes its small towns with an insider’s total lack of sentimentality.

Her debut, Blindsighted, appeared in 2001, was translated into twenty-seven languages and reached the Crime Writers’ Association shortlist for best thriller debut.
