Chris McCausland, born in 1977, is an English actor and comedian. Television audiences first knew him as Rudi in the CBeebies show Me Too!, and he remains a regular at comedy venues including The Comedy Store. McCausland is blind as a result of retinitis pigmentosa – a fact he has never allowed to define the limits of the career.
Then came the moment that turned a respected circuit comic into a national favourite: in December 2024 he won series 22 of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing with professional partner Dianne Buswell, and in 2025 he received a BAFTA award. Few comedians get a second act quite like it, and fewer still handle one with such evident good humour.
