Who is Fearne Cotton?

Fearne Cotton, born in 1981, is an English broadcaster and author whose career maps almost exactly onto two decades of British popular television and radio. She started out in the late 1990s presenting children’s television for GMTV, CITV and CBBC, then graduated to Top of the Pops, The Xtra Factor and a decade as team captain on Celebrity Juice, with regular stints fronting Children in Need along the way.

Radio ran in parallel: in 2007 she became the first regular female presenter of the Radio 1 Chart Show, later held her own weekday morning show on the station, and moved to Radio 2 in 2016. In 2018 she launched Happy Place, a podcast about wellbeing and mental health, and her writing has followed the same turn – the books include eight self-help titles, two for children and four on healthy eating.
