Jack Carr is the pen name of George Petersen, born in 1975: American novelist, screenwriter, producer, podcaster and, crucially for the fiction, former Navy SEAL sniper. He is the number one New York Times bestselling author of the James Reece thrillers, which began with The Terminal List – now a number one Amazon television series starring Chris Pratt, since expanded into a second season and a spin-off led by Taylor Kitsch.
The brand is broadening. He has moved into non-fiction with Targeted: Beirut and launched a co-written thriller series with M.P. Woodward, The Fourth Option. But the foundation remains the same: military thrillers written by a man who has actually lived the world he describes, which is precisely the authenticity his readers sign up for.
