Who is Tom Holland?

Tom Holland is an English novelist, popular historian and podcaster – three careers that have fused into one of the most recognisable voices in British history writing. The author of many books, including works of classical history, he is especially known for Dominion, his account of the Christian roots of Western morality and the book that persuaded a large audience that its secular values might not be so secular after all.

Broadcasting has extended the reach. He has created and hosted historical documentaries with the BBC, presented the radio series Making History, and now co-hosts The Rest is History with the historian Dominic Sandbrook – a podcast partnership that treats the past as living conversation rather than homework.
