About this Audiobook

The Elemental Magic bundle set includes all six books in the series full of nonstop action, adventure, magic, and irresistible romance.

I thought magic was make believe…but I was way wrong.

I was nobody. No matter how hard I tried, I never fit in with anyone at my high school. Now I know why.

Turns out I’m a witch. A scary powerful one, too. Except The Coven that claimed me won’t teach me how to use my magic.

Suddenly, I’m selected by the Goddess to hunt down a mythical locket needed to save the world from destruction. The only person who actually tries to help me is the alarmingly attractive Tennessee. He has immeasurable power and breathtaking mismatched eyes. I’m drawn to him on a level I can’t explain…and he’s forbidden from getting too close to me.

When the quest takes an unexpected dangerous turn, I have to improvise. This supernatural world is unraveling at my fingertips and I need to master my magic fast. If I don’t, I could get everyone I care about killed…

Clara’s Verdict

Urban fantasy for young adults is a crowded shelf – there’s no shortage of witches discovering their powers, forbidden romances, and world-ending quests. What Chandelle LaVaun does rather well with the Elemental Magic series is pack an enormous amount of story into a format that never drags. Six books, forty-one hours of audio, and the pacing holds throughout. That is not a small achievement; many series of comparable length begin to sprawl and repeat themselves by the third instalment. LaVaun maintains momentum by giving each volume its own dramatic arc while advancing the larger narrative, which is the structural discipline that separates durable series fiction from the kind that trails off.

This complete series bundle represents genuine value for anyone who wants to commit to a new fantasy world without the wait between instalments. The comparison to The Mortal Instruments is accurate enough to be useful as a shorthand but not so close that the series feels derivative. LaVaun has her own voice, and her protagonist Tegan has enough specificity – enough genuine interiority – to carry the weight of six books and forty-plus hours of listening.

About the Audiobook

Tegan is, at the start, nobody in particular. She has never fitted in at school, has no explanation for the strangeness she sometimes senses around her, and has quietly resigned herself to being perpetually on the outside of groups she cannot join. Then she learns she is a witch – a particularly powerful one – and the world reshapes itself entirely around that revelation.

The Elemental Magic series spans six volumes: The Lost Witch, The Brave Witch, The Rebel Witch, The Broken Witch, The Eternal Witch, and The Aether Witch. The arc takes Tegan from confused discovery through to a confrontation with a threat that could destroy the supernatural world she has only just entered. Along the way there is the Coven’s inexplicable refusal to teach her her own magic, a mythical locket she has been chosen by a goddess to find, and Tennessee – whose breathtaking mismatched eyes and forbidden proximity to Tegan provide the series’ slow-burn romantic engine and a significant portion of its emotional tension.

LaVaun is a confident plotter. Each book has its own internal shape while contributing to the larger structure, which is harder to manage across six volumes than it sounds. The secondary characters – particularly Tegan’s sister Emersyn – develop meaningfully across the series rather than being abandoned once their narrative function in the first book has been served. The supernatural world-building is detailed without becoming unwieldy: elemental magic operates by consistent rules, and those rules generate genuine tension when they are tested.

At nearly forty-one hours, this is a substantial commitment. Choosing this bundle means making LaVaun’s world your primary audiobook companion for several weeks. Listeners who do so report being thoroughly absorbed and frequently resistant to returning to the real world.

The Narration

Vanessa Moyen narrates all six books in the bundle, which is essential for a series of this length – consistency of voice matters enormously when you are spending forty hours with the same world and its characters. Moyen captures Tegan’s initial uncertainty convincingly and tracks her development across the series with appropriate shifts in confidence, register, and emotional weight.

The romantic tension between Tegan and Tennessee requires a narrator who can handle the slow build without making it feel either rushed or artificially prolonged. Moyen threads this needle competently. The supernatural action sequences have a pleasing urgency, and the large cast of Coven characters remains clearly differentiated throughout the series. Given the length and the number of characters involved, that consistency of differentiation is itself a significant technical achievement.

What Readers Say

The complete series holds a rating of 4.8 from Audible UK listeners – high even by the standards of popular YA fantasy, where enthusiasm tends to run high. The reviews are enthusiastic in the specific way that suggests genuine attachment to characters rather than mere genre satisfaction. Readers describe Tegan as “kickass” and someone who “embraces who she is and literally smashes it.” Multiple reviewers have re-read or re-listened to the series. One note of mild criticism appears across several reviews: a tendency towards repetition of certain words in descriptions – at least one otherwise enthusiastic listener found themselves counting “smirks.” Taken as a whole, the response suggests LaVaun has built a genuinely loyal readership that returns to this world voluntarily.

Who Should Listen?

Primarily aimed at fans of YA urban fantasy, particularly those who enjoyed Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunter world, the early Twilight-era paranormal romance tradition, or Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy series. The age range skews towards older teenagers and adults in their twenties, though the content is clean enough for younger readers with appropriate appetite for adventure and romance.

If you want a long, immersive series to carry you through several weeks of commutes or exercise sessions, this bundle offers an efficient and economical choice. The price of all six books as a single purchase represents a substantial saving over buying individual titles, and the satisfaction of having the complete arc available from the start is genuine.

Wow.. I was hooked from the very first page! Although the story centered on Tegan and her sister Emersyn, the author gave us glimpses into all the other characters. Tegan is the High Priestess but only learns this after attending The Gathering and then having to move to Tampa. There she…

OK so far

I'm only a few chapters into the first book and enjoying it, however I'm getting increasingly irritated at how much everyone smirks in this book! Honestly, there must be better words out there, they can't be constantly smirking!
