With 633 ratings behind its 4.3 average, this has a properly convincing sample, and the number feels right to me. It is enormously likeable listening that trades a little depth for a lot of momentum, which is precisely the bargain it advertises on the tin. Serious students of the period will want meatier fare afterwards, but as a witty way in, or a refresher that never bores, it earns a confident recommendation from me.
